2025 has been an incredible year for Meikle Tòir, and we couldn’t think of a better way to close the year than by celebrating all the outstanding accomplishments we’ve achieved together.
Single Cask Releases
This year, we launched our first-ever collection of single casks within our range of peated single malts – including a distillery exclusive 2018 Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogshead and an online exclusive 2019 Oloroso Sherry Hogshead.
Every cask stored in our 16 on-site warehouses is meticulously monitored during its maturation process. Occasionally, we find hidden gems that develop particularly distinctive characters influenced by their oak, history, and provenance.
These single casks were carefully chosen by industry legend and Meikle Tòir Master Distiller, Billy Walker, and each one tells its own unique story. These rare single malt Scotch whiskies are peated, bold, and bottled at cask strength, offering a taste that is as close as possible to sampling directly from the cask. Both single casks sold out, with the online exclusive selling out within 24 hours, showcasing how well received these expressions were.
THE TURBO 2025 EDITION
We launched our eagerly awaited Meikle Tòir Turbo 2025 Edition in response to enormous demand for the 2023 and 2024 editions, both of which sold out at remarkable speed.
Our 2025 Edition was carefully matured for five years in five Virgin Oak casks and four Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads, resulting in a complex whisky with a robust peat presence at an impressive 72 PPM.
By focusing on ‘the heart of the heart’ of our distillate – the spirit cut with the highest phenol content – ‘The Turbo’ features an intensified smoky profile. With a mainland peat base and an extended fermentation period of 160 hours, the whisky exhibits a full-bodied profile. You can expect notes of heather honey, roasted hazelnuts, and baking spices, followed by ginger, mocha, and molasses, with smouldering oak, dark chocolate, and plum jam.

Meikle Tòir has seen phenomenal acclaim this year, and we are grateful that our core range expressions have been recognised across multiple prestigious award ceremonies.
Meikle Tòir ‘The Original’ took home Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) and received 92 pts at IWSC.
Meikle Tòir ‘The Sherry One’ took home a Master Medal and ‘The Chinquapin One’ took home a Gold Medal at the Spirit Business Scotch Whisky Masters.
